A Big Small Step

This week was a big week for me at work. Typically within the company I work for things/people progress pretty quickly. The company itself seems to thrive on change being that our whole business model is based on adaptive approaches to clinical research. I’ve just passed seven months at Health Decisions and I’ve been informed I’ll be promoted on February 1st. Along with the promotion to In-House CRA, I’ll have the chance to travel and learn how to monitor the research that’s being done. This week was big because I started that process with a two-day trip to Winston Salem. It was a big deal because this is the first time the company has allowed someone in the entry-level position to observe a monitoring trip and there was a lot of debate that went into that decision. I’m excited that my employers think I’m work it. I’m also told that I’ll be traveling to a couple out-of-state sites in February to continue my training. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a long and somewhat lucrative career in clinical research.
